Next Meeting of the QLC

On Thursday, February 26 at 7:30 p.m., Hoboken’s Quality of Life Coalition invites the public to the next in its "Wake Up to Green" campaign, a series of free meetings with environmental experts on hot topics in fighting global warming.

Stockton College Asst. Professor Patrick Hossay will explain how to calculate a Carbon Footprint and much more.
Location: The Hudson School 6th St and Park Avenue.

Past Meetings

Architect Joan Abel will discuss “Renovation of the Existing Built Environment,” and ideas for greening up your home environment. The event occurs on Thursday, October 25, at 7:30 p.m. in St. Matthew Trinity Lutheran Parish Hall, 57 8th Street (entrance between Washington and Hudson Streets).

Ms. Abel, who also has a background in environmental sciences, will address how we understand what “green” really is. An increasing number of Hoboken residents believe that there is a need to tackle problems in our buildings, homes and open space. These problems will be illustrated and best practices suggested, as Ms. Abel puts it, “so we can begin to live lightly on the land.”

Admission is free and all are invited.
