The QLC is partnering with the Save the Youth Academy and Hoboken Housing Authority to raise funds for back-to-school supplies and a party to kick-off the school year. We’ve been lining up donated supplies that are environmentally friendly, but are also raising funds for additional supplies and to throw a party for the kids living in the housing authority that will balance education with entertainment.

Compact florescent light bulbs (CFLs) greatly reduce energy consumption and energy bills, but they do contain mercury. While these bulbs last for years and years, they do burn out eventually. When they burn out, CFLs must be disposed of properly.
